The Hacienda Club se inauguró en Manchester, Inglaterra. Madonna hizo su debut televisivo en el Reino Unido, en el club, cuando el programa The Tube se transmitió en vivo. Ahí también se presentaron: Oasis, Happy Mondays, U2, The Smiths, Charlatans, James, M People, El Club cerró en 1997.
