Nominados y Ganadores de los MTV Video Music Awards – VMA

Los MTV Video Music Awards también conocidos como MTV VMA, son los premios creados por el canal de televisión MTV para condecorar los mejores videoclips musicales del año.

Relevancia de los MTV Video Music Awards – VMA

Desde su primera edición, en 1984 esta ceremonia de premiación se ganó el respeto de la industria musical estadounidense, y de la cultura popular.

Por ejemplo, en 1984 durante su gala Madonna apareció en el escenario, vistiendo un traje de novia blanco, colocada encima de un pastel de bodas gigante. Y la controversia surgió porque interpretó «Like a Virgin» (utilizando un cinturón que tenía escrito el lema «Boy Toy» mientras efectuaba movimientos sexualmente sugerentes.

Posteriormente, en 1987, el videoclip de «Sledgehammer», interpretado por Peter Gabriel, ganó nueve premios. Y se convirtió en el video más laureado en una sola ceremonia de los VMA, hasta la fecha. El resto es historia…​

MTV Video Music Awards 2021 VMA – Lista de ganadores (as)

Los premios MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) se entregaron el 12 de septiembre de 2021. La ceremonia se realizó un día después, del XX Aniversario de los atentados de las Torres Gemelas y del Pentágono, y MTV se unió a la organización sin fines de lucro 9/11 Day. Ambas instituciones rindieron homenaje a las víctimas que perdieron la vida, y a los rescatistas que colaboraron tras los ataques terroristas.

En el tema de las Nominaciones, Justin Bieber fue el artista más nominado con nueve, y le siguieron:  Megan Thee Stallion y BTS con siete (cada uno).

MTV Video Music Awards 2020 VMA – Lista de ganadores (as):

Una entrega diferente, ante una nueva realidad… La ceremonia de entrega de los MTV Video Music Awards 2020 (MTV VMA) se efectuó el domingo 30 de agosto al aire libre. Y se efectuó desde cinco distritos de Nueva York (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, el Bronx y Staten Island), y no desde el Barclays Center de Brooklyn, como se había previsto originalmente.

El cambio se adoptó como medida de seguridad para evitar la propagación del COVID-19. Para esta oportunidad, en calidad de artistas invitados a la gala, aparecieron: Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, el grupo surcoreano BTS, entre otros.

Aparte de las categorías ya establecidas, los MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) 2020 añadió por el tema del coronavirus, dos categorías nuevas: mejor videoclip desde casa y actuación en cuarentena.

Con cinco estatuillas a su haber: Artista del año, y mejor canción del año por “Rain on me” (en colaboración con Ariana Grande) – por citar, Lady Gaga se consagró como la gran vencedora de los premios MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) 2020

Y por si fuera poco, Lady Gaga llamó la atención por los particulares tapabocas utilizados a lo largo de la ceremonia. Todos ellos con diseños especiales a tono con sus habituales y excéntricos atuendos.
